The short answer is yes. Spread out your meals, try to fuel yourself every 2-3 hours, preferably 4-5 meals per day. This will artificially stimulate the metabolism into thinking you are eating more, thus speeding it up. If you want more benefit, eat wisely, and try to to eat your suggested daily caloric intake. Catabolism is when your body is running low
on aminos, and looks for an alternative source. You see your body will go after the aminos that are stored in your muscles. To alleviate this, you should be ingesting a slow absorbing protein during the day, such as a casien. You should also
use an isolate immediately after the workout.

How are you guys? Just wanted to know if you knew of any quick sure-fire methods to increase your bench press immediately. I have a comp. in 6 weeks. Just wanted an extra edge. Your supposed to be my free peronsal trainer, what do you guys think?

How Increase Your Bench Press

Well, I can give you a workout i have personally tried for 6 weeks. This increased My Bench press by 25-30 lbs. Okay lets say your presently doing bench press once a week. The first thing I would do is rank that up to TWO. Say Tuesday and Saturday. We will give your muscles sometime to heal inbetween. Tuesday I would start with INCLINE Bench try 4 set of 6-8 reps at 70% of you one rep max, you can find the calulator on our routines page. Then flat bench 4 sets of 6-8 reps. Heavy DB flat bench press 3 sets of 6-8 reps. REMEMBER always go to complete failure, so try to have a spotter. Next WEIGHTED DIPS 3 sets of 6-8 reps. Then heavy SKULL CRUSHERS 3 set of 6-8 reps.
Finsih with 3 set of MAX push ups. REMEMBER: protein isolate right after workout, Glutamine serving right before before bed. Thursday, You will do the same excersises except in the REVERSE Order. SO, PUSH UPS, DIPS, FLAT BENCH, INCLINE, DB FLAT BENCH. Increase increments by 5lbs per week. TRUST ME THIS WORKS. Dont forget Push ups 3 Sets everynite before Bedtime.

Glutamine Guidelines
People recommend that you take between 5-25 grams a day.
Well glutamine is what i consider an essential, non-essential amino. The reason I say this is because the older you get the less your body produces. It is responsible for muscle recovery and immune sytem health. I would take it after my workout to prevent muscle breakdown, unless you are taking a protein and it has a substantial amount in it. I would also take it before bedtime to capitalize on the your sleep recovery.

I've heard alot of stuff about creatine, I should say alot of negative stuff. Is creatine bad for you, I mean I've heard it really bad on your liver; not now but a few years down the road

We found that in the short term there has never been a registered, documented health risk to ingesting creatine.
You should always follow the directions and try to cycle 4 weeks with two weeks off.
Some people have spoke of nausea, diarrhea, and bloating.

To answer your question creatine monohydrate by itself is effective in producing ATP and protein synthesis. When you add a transport system (say dextrose) creatine does its work quicker and less of it is broken down, so you then opitmize its use and the amount you take.
We know that creatine helps with muscle growth by stimulating protein synthesis. Because of this you should always cycle it, say 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, to obtain maximum results.

Before and After!
"Well if you take your protein before, usually whey, the body will be assimulating those aminos just before you workout, By taking it after words as well you prevent your muscles from breaking down. I would choose an isolate for this as it assimulates in 15-20 minutes."
